Tips to take the best video

• Film horizontally - so we have consistency across all our videos

• Be steady - if your hands aren’t steady try using a tripod or putting your video device (e.g. phone) on a solid surface

• Make sure you can be heard - check your sounds, don’t video in a loud area

• Film where there is good lighting - try to avoid too much light that might cause shadows across your face or where it’s too dark where we can’t see you at all

• Get your best angle - straight on is best, but try not to point your camera too high or too low

• Be kind - we don’t expect you to take professional videos or get it right on your first take, so take your time, practice and as long as we can hear and see you clearly, the video will be great.

How to send us your videos

We encourage you to keep your videos short (no longer than 2 minutes), even if you send us lots of short videos. Below are some of the ways you can share your videos with us, but if you need help, contact us on communications@belong.org.nz

• Dropbox - upload your video to our folder. Please label it ‘Name_email’ so we know who you are and can contact you.

• Google Form - if you have a google account, you can submit your video through Google Forms.

• WeTransfer - send your video to communications@belong.org.nz. No login is required.

If you choose to send us your video in a different way, please make sure to send it through to communications@belong.org.nz with the following details included so we know who it is from:

• Name

• Email

• Phone
