To help build the capacity of our ethnic communities, join our free Governance and Leadership Training Sessions for people and organisations who hold governance and leadership roles in and for the ethnic community.

The training is offered in two 2 hour sessions. Lunch will be provided for those attending both sessions.

Session 1: (9am - 10:30am)

Forming a great board and how to know if it’s the right board for you:

• Bite size session on what makes a great board.

• Steps to build an effective board.

• Engaging the entire board in meetings and their wider role.

• Identifying the right board for you.

Session 2: (11:00am - 12:30pm)

Understanding the financial role of governance

• Understanding the financial position of your organisation.

• How to read financials for non-accountants!

• What financial questions should you ask and what should you look for in your governance role?

The training session will be delivered by Carol Scholes from Threshold Management and Coaching - specialists in supporting boards and leaders of organisations.
