KAHIKA: Employment Mentoring Programme - Men's Cohort

We’re excited to share that we are now seeking Expressions of Interest for men from migrant and former refugee backgrounds living in Auckland, to be part of our Employment Mentoring Programme - KAHIKA.

Providing upskilling and networking opportunities to help you achieve your employment goals.


Register your interest to join our 8-week programme followed by mentoring available, to help support you in your employment journey.

Over the 8-week programme, topics covered include:

  • Networking/Social Media

  • Goal setting

  • The Treaty Workshop

  • Creating CVs/Preparing for Interviews

  • NZ Employment and Culture

  • Practical Interview Skills

All to help prepare you for the next steps. There are limited spaces available, with the criteria being:

  • From a migrant or refugee backgroun

  • Has a current visa that allows you to work in NZ legally

  • Has existing tertiary qualifications - in NZ and/or overseas

  • Has existing professional work experience - in NZ and/or overseas

  • Looking for employment / to re-establish career in NZ

  • Has an existing CV

  • Is Auckland based

  • Self-Transport

  • Can commit to the programme

  • Dates: Every Monday, starting Monday 7 April - Monday 9 June

  • Time: 9:30am - 4:00pm

  • Location: Fickling Convention Centre (Lynfiled Room), 546 Mount Albert Road, Three Kings, Auckland 1042
